When I started on my
’68 Camaro project, the part I dreaded most was the time it would
spend in paint and body (what I call “paint jail”). After
several projects I had found that the majority of body shops cared little
for quality and were only out to make as much money as possible by doing
as little work as they could get away with. Worst of all, they lacked
any passion for classic rides.
When a friend introduced me to the guys over at Best of Show Coach Works.
I got a good vibe right from the start. Their shop was clean, organized,
and not filled with forgotten projects like many other shops I had visited.
Dick Kvamme , one of the owners, was honest and upfront regarding what
they could do and how much it would cost. Over the year that my Camaro
has been in their care I feel that they’ve become more than just
the guys hired to work on my car, they’ve become friends. They’re
so easy to work with that the 80 mile, one way, trip is well worth the
effort. I look forward to working with them on my next project. Considering
my past experiences with other shops, that says a lot for the quality
of their work and character. |
